 (1) in rough machining, it is mainly necessary to ensure higher production efficiency, so we should choose a larger amount of back cutting, a larger amount of feed, and a medium-to-low cutting speed. 

(2) in the finishing process, it mainly ensures the requirements of the size and surface precision of the parts, so it chooses a smaller amount of cutting on the back, a smaller amount of feed, and a higher cutting speed. 

(3) in rough machining, it is generally necessary to give full play to the potential of machine tools and the cutting ability of cutting tools. 

In the semi-finishing and finishing of CNC lathe factory, we should focus on how to ensure the machining quality and improve the productivity as much as possible. 

When choosing the cutting parameters, the CNC lathe factory should ensure that the tool can complete a part or ensure that the durability of the tool is not less than a working shift, or at least half a working shift. 

The specific value of the CNC lathe factory should be selected according to the machine tool specification, tool durability and practical experience. 

The choice of the amount of knife on the back: the choice of the amount of knife on the back should be determined according to the stiffness of the machine tool, fixture and workpiece, as well as the power of the machine tool. 

Under the condition that the process system allows, choose a large amount of knife on the back as far as possible. 

In addition to the allowance left for the later process, the rest of the rough machining margin should be removed at one time as far as possible to minimize the number of cutting times. 

Usually on medium power machine tools, the back cutting capacity of roughing is 8 / 10 mm (one side). 

The amount of cutting on the back of semi-finishing lathe factory is 0.5 mm;, and the amount of cutting on the back of finishing machine is 0.2 mm. 

Determination of feed: when the quality requirements of the workpiece can be guaranteed, in order to improve productivity, a higher feed speed can be selected. 

When cutting, turning deep holes or precision turning in the CNC lathe factory, it is appropriate to choose a lower feed speed. 

The feed speed should be commensurate with the speed of the spindle and the amount of knife on the back. 

In rough machining, the selection of feed is limited by the cutting force.
