This kind of turning center is mainly lathe, and the functions of milling and drilling are only to do some auxiliary processing. 

The power tool holder is expensive, resulting in the high cost of the turning center, the domestic price is generally more than 100000, imported more than 200000, ordinary users can not afford. 

Most of the economical turn-milling composites are XZC axes, that is, a rotating C-axis is added to the chuck to achieve the basic milling function.

The difference between the turn-milling compound machine and the machining center is: 

1. The turning-milling compound machining center is a machine tool with B-axis linkage and C-axis linkage, which can do turning and milling. It can be said that all or most of the machining of a part can be completed on the turn-milling compound machine tool, so it is also called a small production line. 

It can not only improve the accuracy and efficiency of processing products, but also greatly save the area of machine tools for enterprises. in the past, it needed to complete the processing of one part on several machine tools, but now it only needs one machine to complete all the processing. 

This kind of machine tool can also be divided into vertical milling compound machine tool and horizontal turn-milling composite machine tool, which is already very common in developed countries such as Europe and Japan. China has just started, and its development is very slow. it is mainly because Chinese people still process this kind of machine tools like the previous ones, which is a great waste of turn-milling composite machine tools. 

2. For the five-axis machining center, it can only do milling but not turning. 

Therefore, there are many limitations in the machining, the turn-milling compound can cover the machining of the five-axis machining center, but the five-axis can not do the turn-milling compound machining.
